This beautiful New Moon in Cancer is asking us to lay real, strong commitments for how we want the rest of the year to progress and beyond. It is asking us to feel, not fight. It is asking us to lean into the trust that we have for ourselves, our intuition and all that we want to achieve in our lives.  It is asking us to move away from our ego self, our thoughts, our fears.

This New Moon in Cancer will pack a punch. In fact most Cancer moons do as they get to us to feel like we may not at other times, and this is no exception.

This New Moon Cancer – The sign of the feminine and ruled by the moon, by emotions, is sandwiched between two Full Moons in Capricorn – The sign of the Masculine, ruled by Saturn (the teacher of the zodiac), so you may really feel where you are not achieving all that you want, where you feel time has stood still while others are powering towards their dreams, where you are being taken advantage of, or where you are not seen to be the person you are meant to be.

And following on from the New Moon in Gemini, is very much reinforcing that this is a time for new beginnings.

I say this because the retrograding Pluto in Aquarius is connecting strongly with Uranus, and we can really go back and review Saturn's influence while it's hanging out in Pisces. Mars in Taurus where he isn’t most comfortable, is really asking us to look back at our actions, what has and hasn't worked, where we have really stopped ourselves from progressing, what we need to do to move forward, where we want to set our sights. It is showing us what we can do, highlighting the plan along with changes that we need to make in our lives.

The Universe is asking us to commit to our plans

This is a great Moon for actually committing to the plan that we have been feeling bubbling along on the surface. We have the Sun and the Moon conjunct (as we do at every New Moon) showing us the depths of our feelings (more so as it is at home in Cancer where it can let out all of it’s emotion) and they are also conjunct Venus. So it's really about our worth and what we want, and it's asking us to really get clear on that.

This beautiful New Moon is also working stunningly with the planet of abundance Jupiter, who is sextile Mercury at this time. What this says to me is very much that not only if we get really quiet and listen to our feelings, we'll be able to understand and hear exactly what it is that we need to do, which is great, and it's really going to help us to build those plans as we move forward. Basically, our intuition will be on point!

The fact that we have the stellium still in Cancer, with the Sun, Moon and also Venus, is very much showing that this is about your security, your long term security, your home life, your family life, your kids yourself. It is wanting us to see what we can do as a collective to help nurture our home life. It's really helping us to understand exactly how we can move forward with that, but where we have so much of a Pisces influence with both Saturn and Neptune retrograde in Pisces, it is forcing us to slow down and take the time to really get to grips with our intuitive side and not our ego.

Saturn and Neptune are helping us to look back, and this is where we need to be really focused on:

The thing about this moon is that this isn't about just this moon. This is just a starting point, leading us to the next Capricorn Full Moon which is going to force change upon us.

This moon is a really exciting moon, because it's really saying to us, we can do this. It's really telling us this is the new US, the new us of not just now, but the new us for the future has got this. We can see what we want. This is a moon that is really saying now is for us to really strive to move forward with what we want and really be focused on it.

How to work with the energies of this moon

There's going to be a lot of change collectively, at a collective level, the change is going to be immense. We're going to see a lot coming in which can really draw us inwards even more.  It can get us to over think.  It can veer us of our own course if we allow it. THIS is why this Moon wants us to learn to listen to our heart not our heads. It wants us hear out intuition over our ego so the noise won’t permeate and grow.  This is a Moon to remind us that anything we give to space to grows, so it wants us to focus on US.  It wants us to focus on all that is in our control. It wants us to dial out the noise and be the masters of our own worlds and not the wider universe…

This Moon is reminding us that there is no point worrying about the what ifs, because everything is going to happen for a reason, but that we are here to start creating our new world just as we want it. We're here to start creating the life that we would like our families to lead. We want to be the trailblazers who show our families what we can do, who show the girls who look up to us, who show the boys exactly what sorts of women they should be with as they grow older. We are really here to set the standards for what is to come.

We are here to heal. We are here to help. This New Moon in Cancer wants us to shine bright as who we are. That's where the Venus is conjunct the Sun, Moon at this time, our moon is to shine us show us exactly how we do it. The whole of the cosmos is currently conspiring together so that we can be the people that we dream of. So let's be them!
